Scholarship Overview:

This scholarship is available to students immersed in any form of visual and/or performing arts. To be eligible, applicants are required to submit an essay expressing their perspectives on creativity and courage. The wisdom of French artist Henri Matisse echoes through the application process as he once stated, “another word for creativity is courage.” While artists may receive admiration, they are also susceptible to criticism and rejection.

The act of unveiling art to the world demands the conquering of fear and self-doubt. Even the most accomplished artists grapple with existential questions like “am I good enough?” or “will people appreciate my work?” If you are a student with a creative spirit who has faced these challenges, we encourage you to seize this opportunity and apply for the scholarship. Eligibility Information:

This scholarship opportunity is available to students engaged in any form of visual and/or performing arts, ranging from painting, sculpture, dance, theater, film, music, photography, digital art, to creative writing or related fields. Eligible applicants must fall into one of the following categories:

  • Grade Level: High School Seniors, College & Graduate Students
  • Citizenship: US Citizens, Permanent Residents
  • Academic Interest: Areas of focus include TV/Radio Broadcasting, Visual & Performing Arts, Fashion Design, Graphic Design/Printing, Film/Video Production, Photography/Photojournalism, Music, and Dance.

Application Information:
