  • Offer for Full-Time Program: Applicants must have received an offer for a full-time program at the University of Minnesota, USA.

University of Minnesota Undergraduate Scholarship Benefits

For the academic year 2022–23, international freshmen are eligible for the following scholarship amounts, renewable annually for up to four years:

  • $25,000 per year
  • $15,000 per year
  • $10,000 per year

Transfer students entering the university in the fall semester may receive a scholarship of $10,000 per year, renewable for up to three years. Transfer students starting in the spring semester will be considered for scholarships based on the availability of funds.

Application Process for a University of Minnesota Undergraduate Scholarship

  • To remain eligible for these scholarships, students must uphold their F-1 immigration status.
  • No additional scholarship application is necessary; consideration is automatic and is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the on-time admission application. All international freshmen and transfer students who successfully submit their admission applications by the specified deadlines will be automatically reviewed for a Global Excellence Scholarship.
